Microsoft Office 2007 with student discount

“Microsoft sells the premium version of its new Office 2007 software suite for $1150, but in a new promotion it is offering the package to Australian university students for just $75. The almost 95 per cent discount for Office 2007 Ultimate is offered through a website made specifically for the promotion, www.itsnotcheating.com.au”.

From Tama’s eLearning Blog

Also in my home county Microsoft sells Office 2007 Standard for about $120 and Office Enterprise 2007 for $180 Swedish link. I guess that this applies in all countries www.microsoft.com.

I also recommend you to download the free trail version for 60 days, US version. That’s enough to take the ICDL certification.

Google docs expands with Power Point

Google are developing a new presentation software on the net. It’s still rumours but I’m glad that their expanding from Google Docs and Spreadsheet and adding Power Point.

Of course, the web versions aren’t as versatile as Microsoft Office in a long way. But there are other advantages, as for example accessibility and collaboration.
